PBL Model

This is mine and rana volcano model it took along time because we didn't know what to do.We you a few thing newspaper,wall paper paste,paint,cardboard,white type of paper.

How are volcanoes formed                                        

The small outer layer is called crust. The crust is around the earth.Under the crust is the mantle. The mantle is full of hot molten rock. The outer core is made of hot boiling metal liquid. The hard solid inner core is beneath the outer core. The tectonic plates are slabs of stone and rock. The plates are on the upper part of the mantle. As holes pōaha up the magma  rises upwards. Through time the magma builds pressure with many more hot rocks below. Then after time the volcano pahū.

Me pehea nga puia puka /How volcanoes erupt?

Puia form when some of the hot, Liquid rock squeezes through little holes between the plates. The magma forces its way ki runga. As it rises, it melts rocks that  gets near or in front of it, making a kaukau all the way through the crust.

Near the top,it nga pakanga then gets stuck. More and more hot rocks rises. Over many years, the amount of steaming hot rocks pushing on the crust gradually builds up. Suddenly there is so much that it basically explode through the crust-the volcano ka rere. It is like the way that a can of soda suddenly pakaru out when you open the lid after shaking it
